Excuses

I'm not one big on excuses - so I won't go on & on about why I haven't posted anything recently. Life. That's my excuse for this week.

Update on everything....

Kaydn Jean, my best friend's beautiful 1 month old baby, still remains on the ventilator at Saint Francis in the PICU. She has a confirmed case of Pertussis and is being quite a trooper in kicking the nasty disease! Please continue to pray for her as she progresses slowly to being the vibrant beautiful baby that she is.

My Grandma Frances - finally getting to go back to her home at the assisted living center. She's not really any better but is due for some rest in the comfort of her own room. Pray for my aunt and mom as they make the adjustments needed for her to be well taken care of.

Jessalyn - We got the confirmation finally from her pediatrician that yes, she does have pertussis. She's no longer infectious but is still suffering the effects from this nasty disease. She had another sleepless night last night. Her coughing spasms seemed to have worsened with the cold weather.

This weekend we did get to experience a beautiful wedding. Ericka and Raul del Cid confirmed their love for one another and allowed us to witness their public committment to one another. What a refreshing day to experience something positive in the midst of illness and difficulty. Jessalyn was in the wedding and of course was beautiful! She looked so grown up.

Our wonderful Pastor, talked Sunday morning about discipline and growth in Christ. He reminded us that if we wait until life "settles" to get in touch with God, we never will. I'm a testimony of that this week. Life rarely slows down to get things "settled" with God. He's here to help us get "settled". Remember this as you go through your week. Let God settle you down so that you can find Him in all the craziness of Life.
