Carrots, part dos...

Parker, sitting quietly in the bathtub, asks "mom, are carrots vegetables?"

With hesitance, I answer, "yes, honey, carrots are vegetables."
"Mom, I don't like vegetables." Parker replies with some disappointment in his voice.

He continues, "How about we just call them fruit. I like fruit, but I do not like vegetables."

With relief, I agree, "Yes, carrots are now called Fruit!"

So until the food group lesson comes up in school, carrots have officially crossed over. They are out of the vegetable closet and proud (at least at our house) to call themselves FRUITS! :)
