Midlife Crisis Day 4

Midlife Crisis at 30
pg 78

One thing is abundantly clear: Women have real power over other women. We think it's time to use that power to generate a collective call for the workplace changes necessary to allow more than a lucky few the ability to pursue lucrative, high-impact careers while still enjoying meaningful personal lives and or motherhood.

If the women of our generation don't initiate meaningful dialogue - and make a pact to identify an incremental plan to close the ever-expanding gulf between What Has Changed and What Has Stayed the Same - the workplace will invariable continue to demand more.

Make no mistake, feminism's gains are clearly at risk; if things progress at the same pace, the pendulum of women's progress may eventually swing backward to the point where a fulfilling personal life and a successful career are mutually exclusive pursuits - and our choices will be black-and-white again.
