Bleacher Bums

Last night was our third night at Central Park Ball Fields this week. We have been making up rain out games for two weeks now. The Cheetahs (Jess's team) are improving each week, making their games a little more bearable to watch.

Jessalyn is a pretty fierce first baseman. She's one of the few on the team that have played for several years.

However, she's starting to get a little attitude about it. Last night, I told her she played really good last night. She spouts, I'm not good, mom, I'm awesome!

Alrighty then.

Later someone commented on how well she hit, which yes she has become somewhat of a power hitter, compared to her teammates anyway. She turns around, points to the number 1 on the back of her jersey, and retorts proudly, that's why I'm number one!

What a little snot!! We might have to put her out with the big girls, to bring her back to reality since she has this invincible attitude forthcoming.

Parker is not a ball player. By the end of his Tball season last year, we practically had to drag him onto the field. He is much happier just playing in the dirt at J's games.

Three games later and a very long tiring week, just one practice to go tonight and we will be able to wrap up a week of softball. And then it begins all over again. :)

It's been a long time since I've been this anxious for a weekend. Hope it proves to be a good one for all of us!!
