A Helping Hand

Recently, Devon & I had the opportunity to do business with Sam Barker. Mid May, Sam came to our door in a neighborhood canvas offering his services. He was with a reputable company, but honestly I didn't have much interest. For goodness sake, he was going "door to door". How many people do you take seriously going "door to door"? I did offer up our name and number to the friendly young salesman and went on my day without another thought.

As a good salesman will do, Sam began to call on us. Persistently. Not inappropriately but with much integrity, Sam followed up. And followed up. And followed up. Finally we sat down with Sam because we did have some interest in his services. I thought this guy must be really making a killing off of me, because he is so persistent.

In the last six months, we have developed a relationship with Sam. Who know we now is a strong Christian and is in the business that he is, because God has called him to it. Believe me, we are of very little means, and Sam is not making a "killing" off of us. He does what he does because he wants to help people.

Sam is with Edward Jones financial services. He has helped us develop a do-able savings plan and has looked over my investments (that aren't even with Edward Jones) to reassure me that our investments will recover from this hard financial times. He is a believer in the Financial Peace series by Dave Ramsey and utilizes it in his own family.

If you are "freaking out" over the economic predictions or just want to double check that you have everything in order, Sam is your man. He will gladly sit down with you (for free) and review your current situation. He'll make reasonable recommendations and help you meet your financial goals.

Check out Sam's website today. It will be worth your time, I promise!
