The following is a note written by my friend, Dawn Wells. She is an advocate for adoption and has experienced the process both as an adoptee and as an adoptive parent.
November is National Adoption Month!
There are so many children locally in the shelters that need good foster and/or adoptive homes. Recently I had the opportunity to spend time in Tulsa's children's shelter with my students.

Many infants, toddlers, and school aged children are displaced due to abuse and neglect and need loving temporary and permanent homes. Many of you may think you aren't enough or don't have enough, but for these children, you may be exactly what they need. Prayerfully think about this opportunity to serve.
As many of you know, I personally was adopted as an infant and have also chosen to adopt. We have been the ones that have truly been blessed!
