For all who have inquired on the Maynard family medical updates, we are all doing much better. Devon's gout is all but gone. Thursday night we began to see dramatic improvement and he even officiated his game Friday night against my medical advice, for what that is worth.
My post op is going quite well. I feel that I am progressing faster with my recovery of my right hand than I did my left, although don't let that get out, I am so not ready to go back to work. And for the gazillionith time, NO-we are not giving flu shots yet!
Good thing Devon and I are bouncing back quickly, as Jessalyn took a spill on her scooter and sprained her ankle on Saturday. After being the helper at our beck and call this past week, she was quick to redeem our indebtedness for a little special treatment her self! Devon and Jess rested most of Saturday with J's foot up on a pillow and having her dad wait on her hand and foot.
We plan on surrounding Parker with a giant sheet of bubble wrap, since it seems that he's the next one in line for injury. Let's pray that fate flees him.
All this and really so much more than can be put in a generalized blog has plagued us this week. I'm so glad to still be relying on the one Great Healer to put our lives back in order and even if the order I desire does not appear, we are in HIS HANDS. Praise God for his protection and direction.
Later friends, have a great week!
