Road to Recovery

Day 6 post-op and doing pretty good. The surgery was without incident besides a little spike in blood pressure due to my nerves, everything was cool.

I'm off the lortab now (yes, I did get some!) and using ibuprofen for pain control. I hate to admit it but the ibuprofen seems more effective than the lortab. Maybe the Dr. did know what he was talking about, go figure. ;)

Now, the worst thing is being still to recover. Devon reminded me last night that every evening for the past five days, I have said, "I think I overdid it." I'm just not the sit still type. And not driving, is about to push me over the edge! Ugh!

So 6 days until I get to get this nasty gauze of my hand and hopefully the stitches out. That will be a relief to actually scrub my hand. I"m about to wear out the antibiotic hand gel cleaning my exposed fingers. It' not good for a nurse not to be able to scrub her hands 10-20 times a day.

Thanks to all the friends for yummy food and company! You make the time go by faster.
