I'm melting ....

This weekend we gathered all of our cute little chocolate Easter bunnies, and chocolate eggs and chocolate crosses (who came up with this novelty, it just seems a little 'anti-God' eating the cross). So we took all things we had chocolate, including the giant chocolate lips we got for the Valentine holiday (again who comes up with this stuff?). We chopped the chocolate figures into small pieces and melted them in the microwave. Then we dipped strawberries and bananas into them and made fun snacks and desert for the weekend. My kids were especially pumped about the melted purple bunnies that we plunged our fruit into.

I had this great idea when I was the only one nibbling on all the chocolate candy around the house. It was time, time to let it all go and melt into the abyss of microwave induced chocolate fondue. My entire family and some friends got into it. At first the kids were a little bothered watching the cute little bunnies blur up into a pool of liquid, kind of like watching frosty melt away, but the puddle he leaves is fun too, and so it was with their fun escapade of dipping fruit!

Bunny the Chocolate
Was as tasty could be
And the children say
You could lick all day
But it still was good to me

Bunny the chocolate
Knew the waves were hot that day
So he said more licks
And we'll have some kicks
Now before I melt away

Down to the kitchen
With a mixing spoon in hand
Running here and there all around the bowl
Saying melt me if you can

Bunny the chocolate
Had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye
Saying don't you cry
I'll be back again next year!

Probably not a classic but lots of fun to sing to the kids as you melt the bunnies. Sick and wrong .... but hey you read it. :)

Later friends, have a good one!~
