Beautiful Day

Today was absolutely fabulous!

My grandmother is spending Easter weekend with us. She is 89 years old, but you wouldn't know it. Parker and Jessalyn just love having her visit. They read to her, play games, all three of them feed off of each other's attention.

For lunch we had some dear friends over, Rick and Glenda, who are like my kids' adopted grandfolk! They brought with them dozens of hard boiled eggs and all kinds of things to decorate with. Of course, after all of the decorating we had to have a hunt for the eggs outside.

The weather was kind to us today. We enjoyed our time outside. The day was simple and so enjoyable. For a family that's always on the go, the last two days of being at home and enjoying each other's company has been pure bliss.
